The Sensofar optical profiler range utilises 3 technologies in one system.

  • Ai focus variation – Saves each layer as the lens moves upward allowing you to see shape and curvature. Developed for measuring the shape of large rough surfaces and ideal for steep surfaces.
  • Confocal – Only allows focused light through allowing you to see the surface structure. Confocal profilers measure the surface height of any roughness of surface.
  • Interferometry – Uses a laser to allow very accurate measurement down to nanometers great for shiny surfaces such as wafers. Can measure from very smooth
    and continuous to moderately
    rough surfaces.

For transparent layers samples, taking thickness measurements
in a quick, accurate and non-destructive way.
