InspecVision Planar 2D provides rapid, non-contact 2D measurement of manufactured components in seconds. Designed for flat components, Planar helps manufacturers reduce manual inspection, improve measurement consistency and create reliable, traceable results.
With a simple one-click operation, Planar can capture up to 40 million measurements in 0.1 seconds. Components are compared directly with CAD models using colour mapping to clearly identify areas within and outside tolerance.

SurfScan 2.5D Inspection
Extend Planar beyond 2D profile measurement to inspect heights, angles, flatness and cross-sections. SurfScan captures 3D surface data for more detailed inspection of formed and shaped features.
Area of Interest (AOI)
Inspect additional 2D surface features using dedicated overhead lighting. AOI is ideal for checking details such as countersinks, blind holes, pins and inserts, bevels, slots and printed markings.
Opti-Scan 3D
Add full 3D inspection to a compatible Planar system. Opti-Scan 3D provides automated inspection of complex components and can be retrofitted to existing Planar machines.
2D Automatic Repositioning
For components larger than the Planar measurement area, the repositioning option allows multiple scans to be automatically stitched together, extending the inspection area while maintaining measurement accuracy.
Planar 2D software is included with the machine. An offline license is available as an optional extra and allows the user to access and work on Planar files from another location such as an office PC.
