Novacam Tube Inspection

A Non-contact optical measurement system for micron precision 3D measurements of tubes, cylinders or barrel interiors and exteriors. 

It features a small diameter side-looking probe, which reaches inside tubes to obtain complete inside geometry. 

• High speed – up to 100,000 3D point measurements per second.
• 2D and 3D surface and subsurface characterisation of – diameter, cylindricity, circularity, runout, straightness, taper and distortion.
• High aspect ratio features, including – undercuts, threads, grooves and cross-holes.
• Sub-micron resolution, with excellent repeatability.

• Measures each dimensional detail of inside and outside tube diameters – including chamfers, threads, undercuts, O-ring grooves, rifling, splines, lands and edge breaks.
• Complete configurable automated inspection.
• Measures dimensional or surface defects – porosities, scratches and cracks
• Measures dimensions and roughness – thickness of semi-transparent coatings.
